Before joining West Michigan Advisors, I founded and led a successful independent financial firm in Midland, MI, serving individuals, families, and small business owners for over 30 years. We developed customized strategies for retirement, asset management, college and pension planning, risk management, and collaborated with local professionals on estate and tax planning.

As our children moved to West Michigan, my wife and I set a personal goal to eventually relocate closer to them and our growing family. That opportunity came to fruition when I sold the practice and joined the team at WMA, where I now lead our Risk Management Services. It’s been an exciting transition, allowing me to continue doing what I’m passionate about—helping clients achieve financial security—while also enjoying life near our children and grandchildren.

Through WMA, I’m able to bring decades of experience and insight to every client relationship, leveraging an open catalog of resources to develop customized solutions that meet each client’s objectives while acting as an independent advisor with a fiduciary responsibility to keep my client’s interests first. I’m especially energized by the collaborative environment at WMA, where client needs are the foundation of everything we do.

Outside the firm, we’re active in our church community, volunteering with missions’ programs and men’s ministry groups. In my free time, I enjoy time with family, especially our two local grandchildren, whether we're out on the golf course, at the beach, or relaxing at our quiet family cottage on a small private lake near Allegan.
